  • Domenico Arturo Nesci

    Domenico Arturo Nesci is a Psychoanalyst with the International Psychoanalytic Association, an Ordinary Member of the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society, and an Honorary Member of the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. He initiated and directed the Psycho-Oncology courses at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore from 1992 to 2021 and served as a Researcher and Associate Professor at the same university, as well as Medical Director of the Psychiatric Consultation Service at Policlinico "A. Gemelli". Post-retirement, he continued as a Senior Consultant until 2021. He taught at Stanford and UCLA from 1983 to 2001, receiving the title of Distinguished Visiting Professor at UCLA. His notable works include "Multimedia Psychotherapy" (2012) and "Revisiting Jonestown" (2017). He contributed to the documentary "In Utero" (2015) directed by Kathleen Gyllenhaal.

  • Simonetta Averna

    Dr. Simonetta Averna, born in Rome on August 11, 1958, graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Perugia in 1985 and specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome, in 1990. Dr. Averna has further specialized in Obstetric and Gynecological Ultrasound and Psycho-Oncology. She has extensive research experience in prenatal psychology and obstetric ultrasound and has authored over fifty scientific publications. Dr. Averna is a founding member of The International Institute for Psychoanalytic Research and Training of Health Professionals (IIPRTHP) and the DREAMS Social Cooperative Society ONLUS, where she currently serves as President. She has been practicing medicine in Rome since 1986 and is an active member of the Italian Society of Obstetric and Gynecological Ultrasound (SIEOG).

  • Dominique Scarfone

    Dominique Scarfone M.D., was full professor at the Department of Psychology of the Universite de Montreal where he taught psychoanalytic theory and was a supervisor of clinical psychotherapy cases. He is codirector of the SIPSI school in Rome, Italy and a member of the Societe and of the Institut Psychanalytique de Montreal. He is also a honorary member of the Societa Psicoanalitica Italiana (SPI). He has published four books: 'Jean Laplanche' (PUF, 1997), 'Oublier Freud? Memoire pour la psychanalyse' (Boreal, 1999), 'Les Pulsions' (PUF, Que sais-je?, 2004) and 'Quartiers aux rues sans nom' (Paris, Editions de l'Olivier, Collection Penser/Rever, 2012). He is also the author of several book chapters and numerous articles in international journals.
